Joy and I got the idea of starting up a band because her grandpa wanted to give her guitar lessons. We got our inspiration from the band R.E.M. They influenced us and I'm sure when we get the band going their influence will be present in our music. Candida got in on the act because we needed a drummer. She thought it was a great idea and was very enthusiastic. Candida and I are in the school band (Joy quit this year) and so we would practice in the back room. We would smack pipes against the wall, floor, and our heads and scream and "sing". It was a lot of fun, but we didn't accomplish much. We hope to get started actually playing sometime, but until that happens, we can only be annoying.
